A dress of taffeta with alternating stripes of tan, black, and white plaid, and tan, black, and white chiné print; dress fitted and boned, bodice hooked down center front, long bell shaped sleeves with two flounces, short cape-like fold over each shoulder coming to waistband center front and center back, shoulder bands and sleeve ruffles trimmed with black, white, and purple silk fringe, full skirt gathered evenly all around into waistband; bodice lined with white cotton twill, skirt lined with tan glazed cotton.
