THOMAS FAED, born 8th June 1826 at Burley Mill, died 22nd August 1900 at London. He studied at Edinburgh under W. Allom and Erskine Nicol. His works are Genre-Paintings of earnest often tragical character with deep feeling and executed in brilliant colouring.
