Play: Kanadehon Chûshingura

The “kiwame” censor’s seal began to be used in 1790, but Nakazô’s last performance was in 1789.8 and he died early in 1790. This may be an older design re-issued in 1790 as a memorial print; the placement of the signature and censor’s seal is very odd.
Nakazô had played Honzô in 1769.4 at the Nakamura theater.
