A gentleman in a top hat rides his mount to the hunt, preceded by four dogs. He is followed by a guard who hold the fifth dog on a leash. They face toward the right, passing by a fence that is on the left of the image.
The gentleman’s horse has a fringed blanket behind the saddle. His ears appear to be bandaged.
A shoulder strap holds the gentleman’s gun on his right shoulder. The gun is between the gentleman’s right arm and his body. The gun’s barrel is behind the gentleman and pointing up.
On the right of the image, in the background, are two trees, bushes, and other plants. Many birds can be seen in the sky near the trees. Hills are in the distance.
