DescriptionAltar frontal with design of horsemen, figures, pavilions, flowering trees, birds and clouds in blue, beige, green and light brown silk and gilt paper strip discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts on a dark blue satin ground (probably Japanese fabric); above which is a band with design of scattered flowers and butterflies embroidered in shades of blue, green and white silk on a dark blue silk satin ground (probably Chinese fabric); light blue plain-weave linen band stitched along the top and backing.
