DescriptionSoprano in A. J-shaped tube of maple, covered with black leather. Reed cap (not original) with mouthpiece. Brass staple (or crook) for holding the double reed. Bore is cylindrical except at the end, where it flares slightly. Eight finger-holes (one of which is stopped with wax) and one vent-hole in the front, a thumb-hole in the rear.
