Red ware, with two loop handles. Wheel made. Broken but about complete. Mended by Young, 1932. Associated with the jar (unclear whether by original context/content or from shipping) is a small lump of slag with dark brown earthy incrustations and areas of a light green patina.
From Nubia (Sudan) el-Kurru, Ku. 52 (Queen Nefrukekashta). 1919: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
