DescriptionAs the god of scribes, Thoth played a vital role in the weighing of the heart after death, and therefore he became a popular subject forfunerary amulets. He is typically shown as a standing man in a short kilt, with the head of an ibis. This amulet is made of faience with a green glaze. There is a transverse hole at the back for suspension.
