DescriptionFemale head, cut off just below chin. Hair in obilique rolls, and braid above earrings. Uniform whitish color, with traces of red. Handle has been broken off
ProvenanceJune or July 1888, discovered on the banks of the Tiber, Rome, opposite the Isola Tiberna on the Trastevere side and acquired by Rodolfo Lanciani, Rome [see note 1]; 1889, sold by Lanciani to the MFA for $493.92 [see note 2]. (Accession Date: January 29, 1889)
