DescriptionThe youth has tightly rolled hair. The left arm is broken off at the elbow and the left leg at the ankle. Somewhat corroded. Brownish patina.
The hipshot pose and elongated proportions suggest the Polykleitan tradition of the Westmacott Athlete, or the proto-Lysippic proportions of the standing Diskobolos attributed to Naukydes of Argos.
