DescriptionThe baluster whistle has a shaped mouthpiece, a spherical central section and a tapering handle. It is assembled from sheet and chased overall with stylized geometric medallions and foliage. Suspended on eyes around the circumference of the central section are six bells. The handle terminates in a loop through which a ring of ivory is supsended.
