Circular tortoise shell bag; central circle with radiating wedge-shaped pieces on front and back, which are inlaid with mother-of-pearl floral motifs and separated by narrow steel strips; red leather flap, borders, and sides in accordion folds, with stamped gold leaf and scroll motifs; steel clasp; handle made from four gold-colored cords tied at top; light purple lining
