DescriptionLength of red plain-weave silk guaze constructed of eight, three-inch bands, stitched together, with design of birds and flowers in yellow, green and white silk; narrow row at the top of each band with meandering vines and another at the bottom with white dots. Probably embroidered by Chinese artists living in the port city of Surat in the state of Gujarat.
