DescriptionShaped oval basekt on flared foot with flat rim. Foot and sides pierced and engraved with alternating panels of foliate scrolls and diaperwork. Long sides with a later coat of arms, and the corner panels have cartouches engraved with a coat of arms. Shaped swing handle engraved with a band of trellis.

Marks Struck on reverses with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1735-6) and with maker's mark of John Pero.
InscriptionsThe arms in the corner panels are those of Palffy of Erdod, Hungary. The later arms are those of Vachell with those of Lloyd on an escutcheon of pretence.
