One of two baskets. Thought to have been produced at the Boston and Sandwich Glass Factory. These baskets illustrate a pattern found on both pressed and blown salts and baskets. The patterns are an unusual appearance on American glass, as they are seen more often in the French Baroque glass. Similar fragments that have been unearthed at Sandwich and bear the same design indicate that these pieces probably came from the famous factory located there.
