DescriptionBed cover or hanging, for Portuguese market, of tan linen ground with closely-spaced, overall design embroidered with yellow silk in chainstitch: central coat-of-arms in central field surrounded by scenes from marine and land battle; deep triple border on all four sides with central band of animals, birds, and hunters, and two flanking ones of vine and flowers; embroidery worked through two layers of linen.
