Indian bed cover (palampore), made for the European market, made of 1 1/2 loom widths of natural cotton, stitched together, with design in central field of Tree of Life growing out of a sacred rocky outcrop surrounded by plant and floral motifs; wide border with garlands of leaves and flowers caught up in bows; pattern in violet and red.
