Beer jar with direct rim and pointed base: complete. Below the shoulder, the vessel is handmade, likely through coiling, and bears deep vertical smoothing marks on the interior. Above the shoulder, the neck and rim of the vessel where made on the slow wheel or similar turning device. The surface is unslipped and shows moderate chaff and limestone burnout. The jar was unevenly fired. The interior of the beer jar contains mud fragments from the interior mud lining. // GPMP type AB4.
