DescriptionDesign: Juno seated on bank of cloud, peacock before her, about to be struck by arrow shot by cupid, eagle and trumpeter above. The figures and elaborate rococo ornament worked with cloth stitch "toilé," detailed by "mailles à cinq trous," "point d'esprit," "point grillé" etc., accented by occasional woven outlines. Heading sewed on upper edge.
