DescriptionBronze. Bowl. Incised decoration. Procession of deities beneath an ornamental band of olive leaves. Decayed but nearly perfect.

With incised decoration, representing a king and gods. The style and the short inscription beside the king are Meroitic, although the motifs are of Egyptian Origin.
ProvenanceFrom Gammai, Nubia (Sudan), Grave 115, object #2. 1915-6: excavated by Oric Bates & Dows Dunham for the Harvard Peabody Museum; 1916: assigned to Oric Bates in the division of finds with the Sudanese government; Sept. 4, 1924: given to the MFA by Mrs. Oric Bates.
