French, mid 18th Century panel. Bright mustard yellow ribbed and figured taffeta ground, brocaded with polychrome silks and three kinds of silver yarn. Small bouguets of roses and smaller blossoms, with silver leaves, arranged symetrically and connected in undulating lines by leafy green stalks. narrow corded selvedges at each side. Faded, soiled and worn; silver tarnished and worn. A break just below center.
