DescriptionThis brooch is made of a tan-grey lava stone, carved in very high relief and set in a simple gilt metal bezel with an open back crossed by the pin stem which is of a white metal (possibly a replacement). The subject consists of a three-quarter standing winged putti embracing a dog, a symbol of fidelity.
