Buddhist altar cloth with design of dragons in gilt paper strip discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts on a blue silk damask ground with woven cloud pattern; lined with natural plain-weave (basket-variation) hemp or linen with design of central diamond motif printed in brown, blue and natural ecru made of scrolling vines and flowers in the center and repeating floral arabesque pattern in the border and printed roundels in gold and natural ecru in each corner with scalloped borders and central arabesques.
