DescriptionOval, creamy white over mottled brown sardonyx cameo. Nude youth, Orestes, seated on an altar with head in hand. Before him, another nude youth, Pylades, leaning on a pillar. In the background, doors of a temple (?) decorated with fillets. A young woman, Iphigeneia (?), and soldier holding a shield stand on its steps. Thick ground line. Faded inscription in cursive letters on the altar.
