Canopics and canopic boxes

This pottery lid of a canopic jar is shaped in the form of a human head with false beard. The face is well modelled and has been painted yellow. The hair is black with apparent blue ground most evident near the ears. The eyes are white and black. Areas of glaze and paint have worn, but much remains, and the lid is in generally good condition.
