Canopics and canopic boxes

This limestone canopic jar and lid are carved of fine white limestone with fairly well smoothed surfaces. The jar has almost straight, slightly flaring sides that culminate in a rolled rim, which has several small chips/fragments missing from it. The lid is disc shaped, characteristic of the Old Kingdom.
