DescriptionCap worked solidly with coarse wool in stitch similar to needlepoint lace with conventional designs, possibly two headed bird, in neutral yellow, heavily outlined with black, on a reddish-orange ground, on top of the cap pale neutral yellow; edged with narrow bands of neutral yellow and reddish-orange, dark brown braid fringe to simulate hair knotted onto sides and back of cap.
