DescriptionCaster of vase form on cast, molded, splayed foot, hemispherical body, molding at joining of seamed sides sharply incurved and quite straight to applied narrow rim. High domes cover engraved and pierced in panels.
ProvenanceAccording to tradition, by 1960s, Mifflin family; 1960s, informally transfered to Rebekah and Ralph Carey, caretakers of the Mifflin estate in Methuen, Mass. when the heir to the Mifflin estate told the Careys to "get rid of the stuff;" 1963, sold by Mrs. Carey (via Anne M. Evans) to the Museum.
