DescriptionFour narrow strips of fine linen, butt-seamed to form large rectangular cover. Field shows all-over pattern of a conventionalized bouquet repeated with slight variations. Narrow border shows regular repeat of a conventionalized rose sprig. Embroidered with pinkish-red, yellow-green, blue, salmon, violet, black and white silks in steps and couched diagonal stitches and satin stitches in border guards. Much darned, patched, stained; silks worn and missing in many places.
