Circular medal of Charles Robert Leslie (1794-1859), commissioned by the Art Union of London.

Obverse: Profile bust of Leslie looking to proper left; inscribed at edge “*C.R.LESLIE R.A.BORN 1794 DIED 1859*” and “ART UNION OF LONDON 1870” and under bust “A.B.WYON SC.”.

Reverse: Man at proper left and woman at proper right seated closely together; man turns to look at woman’s eye which she is gesturing at with both hands; inscribed at proper right “C.R.LESLIE R.A.[ ]”, at proper left “A.B.WYON SC.”, and in exergue “THE SENTRY BOX”.

Inscription

Obverse: Inscribed at edge "*C.R.LESLIE R.A.BORN 1794 DIED 1859*" and "ART UNION OF LONDON 1870" and under bust "A.B.WYON SC.".
