Obverse: Profile bust of Charles V looking to proper left, holding an orb in proper left hand and a mace in proper right hand; inscribed on edge "CAROLVS·V·DEI·GRATIA·ROMAN·IMPERATOR·SEMPER·AVG[VSTV]S·REX·HISPANNO·SAL·M·D·XXXVII·AETATES·SVAE·XXXVII".

Reverse: Heraldic device at center with two-headed eagle behind, crown above, and a column on each side; inscribed oon proper right column "PLVS" and on proper left column "[O]V[L]TRE".
