DescriptionChasuble. Sides: green silk damask with a stylized leaf spray topped by a speckled pomegrante motif repeating within ogival compartments formed by bands, bearing a repeating triangle design, which meet in crowns. Orphrey: front, St. Peter and St. Paul; back, St. James the Great, St. Thomas the Apostle(?), and St. Bartholemew. Each beneath a raised-work, double vaulted arch within a rectangular compartment. Polychrome silk and metallic yarns. Around the collar a band with a simple meandering vine and pomegrante motif done in raised-work with metallic and red silk yarns. Orphrey yarns worn or missing in spots.
