DescriptionChasuble half. Compound weaving, silk and gilt-membrane yarns with pattern of small squares enclosing animals and birds. Ophrey with silk and metallic yarns embroidered on linen with four full length figures (one bishop, four with haloes) and two torsos and lower half of another figure. Orphrey not original to this chasuble; silk weaving many pieces joined together, remains of yellow silk ribbon at top, worn blue linen lining.
