DescriptionWorn at wedding and on special occasions. Brown, dark blue and dark green silk yarns on undetermined ground (probably silk, cf. Johnstone, 1972, fig. 25), touches of black, some of which has rotted out, and of yellow. Dense embroidery completely covering ground of lower 2/3ds of wide sleeves, shoulders, along hemline, and central part of front of dress to knee level. Sleeves of wide rectangular shape sewn onto main body of dress, no waistline, deep tuck taken above knee level to give impression of a tunic over longer underskirt.
