DescriptionCircular medal of Pope Clement X (Pope 1670-1676), possibly showing the apse of Saint Maria Maggiore. Beaded rim on both sides.

Obverse: Profile bust of Clement X looking to proper left, wearing robe with sash and small cap; inscribed at edge "CLEMENS X·PONT·MAX·AN·IVB" and under bust "[R or K]q [RIER (?)]·IVC[ ]NTI".

Reverse: Interior scene of church with many men congregating to open Porta Santa; inscribed on architectural frieze "DILIGIT·DNVS·PORTA·SION" and in exergue "MDCL[papal emblem]XXV".
