Obverse: Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right.
Inscription in Greek.
Reverse: Alexander the Great stands at prow of galley entering a harbor, holding a spear in his left hand, looking backward and with his right hand outstretched in supplication. Two soldiers are behind him. There is a bust of Athena on the acrostolium of his ship. On the galley beside him Athena is seated to right. In a high tower behind, a herald blows a trumpet.
