DescriptionObverse: Bust of Commodus to right, laureate, wearing cuirass and paludamentum.
Inscription in Greek.
Reverse: Asklepios, himation over lower limbs, seated left on backless throne, holding a patera in his outstretched right hand. With his left he leans on a tall staff entwined with serpent.

ProvenanceAcquired in the division of coins following the excavations at Assos. Some coins in the group were said to have been "purchased from natives of the surrounding district."
