DescriptionThis jar has a very small, flat base with straight sides that widen to high shoulders. The neck is short with a collar at the lower extent, which widens into a rim of a rolled and pulled out style. The jar has a rough and worn surface. One large fragment is broken from the rim.
ProvenanceBy 1836: Robert Hay Collection, Linplum, Scotland; 1863: to his son, Robert James Alexander Hay; 1868-1872: Way Collection, Boston (purchased by Samuel A.
