DescriptionThe stone is brownish-black and fine-grained. The base is flat, and the rim is flattened and everted. It was drilled with a borer. It is broken and mended. Fragments are missing.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Menkaura (Menkaura) Valley Temple, Giza. 1911: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
