Ecclesiastical costume. Cope with orphrey and hood. Cope: medallions with alternating pineapple and pomegranate motives among lush vertical undulating vines. Cut and voided red velvet and metallic yarns on a yellow silk ground; very badly worn. Orphrey: a central compartment with a half figure of God the Father admidst the clouds, holding an orb. Flanked on either side by three compartments each with the full figure of a saint within an ornate archway. Right: St John the Apostle, St Christopher (?) and St. Clare. Left: St John the BAptist, St Laurence and St. Francis of Assisi. Hood: The Ascension of the VIgin. Metallic and polychrome floss silk yarns on a linen(?) ground. Worn. The morse bears a pair of crossed keys in the same material.
