DescriptionCope with self orphrey band and hood. Yellow silk rep broacaded with polychrom silk, gilt-silver and silver yarns. Symmetrical design of floral sprays and meandering vegetative and bow motifs. Trimmed with read and silver gimp. Hood attached by 4 frogs, edged with gilt-silver fringe, large tassel, at base. Green wool lining with brocaded repeating sprig motif (prob. 19th C.). Condition: metallic yearns worn, abraided and missing in places (esp. on orphey band)
