An unpatterned white linen field with an attached tan linen border. Embroidered in red silk yarns on the border are six female saints – “Barbara, Caterina, Agata, Apollinia, Lucia, and Margarita” – repeating amidst undulating stalks bearing blossoms, leaves and pomegranates plus rabbits, deer and other animals. The “S” before each saint’s name has been removed in every instance. Also the names are misspelled in some repeats. Attached red silk lengthwise fringe plus end fringe of embroidered red silk and ground warps. Many stains.
