Pear-shaped body. Everted spout with undulating rim. Ribbed double scrolled handle. Three applied scroll legs with stylized shell joinings and feet. Pelican crest on body under spout. Mark on bottom.

Inscription

MARKS: on the underside of the body, maker's mark WB with a pellet between in a shaped shield (Grimwade 3014); lion passant; leopard's head crowned; date letter E (1760/1).
ARMORIALS: engraved on the front of the jug, the crest probably of Rochester.
