Two slightly curving strips of steel joined at the top by a shorter strip formthe back of the chair. The seat consists of five strips joined at the top an d radiating outward and downward to a point, forming a ‘crown’ shape. Two lower strips and the lower section of the upper strips are supported by steel strip welded at right angles on the reverse. The seat is welded to a short flat strip which bridges a circular base. The entire chair is covered with gold leaf.
