DescriptionPommel: Trapezoidal ivory pommel. One large and three small loose fragments. Three rivets attached. Blade: Copper-bronze blade with heavy encrustation and chipping at edges. Two rivet holes on blade. Small piece missing at attachment point.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, KXB , sacrificial corridor, object 411.1914: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
