Missing the head, the right arm from elbow, the left arm, the legs. Deep folds of himation run horizontally across the body below the breast. Curled locks of hair fall on shoulders. Back left rough.
From a pediment.
A large hole in the belly would have served to fasten the sculpture to the back wall of the pediment.
1885: found in Lord Savile's excavation at Nemi; by date unknown: with Edward Perry Warren; gift to MFA from Edward Perry Warren in 1894.
