DescriptionLabel: Slattery, Boston. "Revival" dress in sixteenth/seventeenth century style. Lilac silk velvet skirt with false overskirt lined with pink taffeta open at frint to reveal front panel trimmed with two beige lace vertival panels framing three vertical velvet bowd with jet and silk tassels; four overlapping self tabs ar each side of center back opening; pink silk lining. Lilac velvet bodice, edged with jet and glass bead trim, with two tabs at front, pointed back; slashed sleeves revealing pink taffeta undersleeves trimmed with beige lace and jet ornament, with turned back cuffs trimmed with beige lace. Pink taffeta underbodice trimmed with beige lace, jet, and pink chiffon, and black silk waistback of beige lace, pink chiffon; jet and glass beading. Condition: Fair. Bodice has discoloration of chiffon, localized shattering of lining. Skirt: shattering of the entire lining. Both pieces show impressions of beading on the velvet.
