Purple velvet dress in three parts; (a) bodice adapted from late 16th or early 17th century style, made with fitted bodice, pointed in center front, broad tab peplum in back, tightly fitted long sleeves with upper sleeves full in tabs with undersleeves showing through of lighter purple faille, turned back collar of same faille, stomacher incorporated center front, four silver ornaments on each side front; (b) skirt plain in front, longer in back to form short train, designed to go over bustle, center front flanked by bows of velvet with silk and points; woven label on inner belt, Worth, Paris; part of Mrs. Montgomery Sears trousseau; (c) petticoat.
