Part of the trousseau of Mrs. Montgomery Sears; a deep blue velvet dress in two parts; bodice fitted to waist, buttoned down center front, “V” neck, extending into skirt which forms long peplum in back, peplum trimmed with two blue satin bows with fringed ends, elbow length sleeves trimmed with blue satin bows; (b) skirt quite straight in front with a little fullness draped across front from side seams, fuller and longer in back forming train (short) and designed to go over bustle, bottom edge finished with tabs over a ruffle of pleated blue satin.
