Pieced fragment of red plain-weave cotton with design of two wide and three narrow bands of geometric and floral motifs, surmounted by two arches and three and a half plants embroidered with bright red, orange, green, purple, white and black silk in buttonhole, stem, and cross stitches; small circles of silvered glass appliquéd to surface in buttonhole setting.
